Majority Minority (MMCT)
Percent minority of a census tract is greater than 50% of the census tract's population.
Minority Tract
Census tracts that have a minority population of at least 30% and a median income of less than 100 percent of the area.
Low Income Area
Census tracts in which the median income does not exceed 80 percent of the area median income.

Tract Distributions Table
The columns in the Tract Distributions Table show the total number of census tracts in a given state as well as the number of those which are categorized as MMCTs, Minority Tracts, and/or Low Income Areas.
Census Tract - Race Data table
The Census Tract Race Data table breaks out the Census Tracts by state then by county.
Within each tract is shown:
Number of Households: Total number of households within the census tract
Percent Minority: Percentage of households that qualify as a minority household within the census tract
Further columns identify the individual classification of minorities, the number of households that minority category represents and the number of category households as a percentage of the total.

Click on the value in any column for any census tract to view a demographic breakdown of that tract, including:
- Renter vs Owner
- Ages
- Gender
- Housing
- Minority percentage and race breakdown
- Languages spoken
- Employment
- Education
